Stuck doing laundry and repacking as my family sleeps. I have to be up in 4 hours to go fishing… fml.

Up at the NOLS Alaska branch, talking to kids who leave tomorrow on “The Mega” a semester program of Sea Kayaking, Mountaineering, and Backpacking I believe. They just got done with 25 days in the field, and leave tomorrow at 8am. I don’t think I could do that, apparently 3 kids already dropped from the program. I just cant sleep even though closings are tomorrow and we have to be at breakfast at 7:30, I feel that so much has happened in the world and I missed it. I only know I have an internet connection here, and leave tomorrow for 8+ days more in Alaska traveling with my family. I just really want to be home though, I am out of the field but still stuck up here. At least tomorrow I can look forward to a beer and talking to the potato, something I have been dying to do ever since I left.

Missed out on so much this past month, but gained so much  more insight to the world and to myself. I can’t wait till tomorrow to see my family, and til the 28th to see my amazing girlfriend and spend the rest of summer with!

One month in the backcountry, got some items in que from the hostel so enjoy.
